To Miss Izzah
This song is going out to my best babe and Big Bird, Izzah! (Hey, Big Bird used to be one of my favourite characters off Sesame Street, okay?
)
The best of luck to you! MWAH!

Steve Irwin’s daughter is just brilliant. Love, love, love her. (Thanks, A, for sharing. ![]()
On a different note, I think Matt Mullenweg (of WordPress) is kind of cute. You know, the adorable geek kind. Hehe.
P.S.: To those interested, the admission forms for Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s academic session 2007/2008 is out. They’re obtainable at the administration of the university, and the submission date is by March 10th 2007. (For government officers, it’s somewhere around the end of February, I had forgotten the exact date, sorry.)
I was at the Career Dialogue in ITB this morning, and I’ve sent in two application forms to the companies that were participating. It was somewhat fun because I get to see a few familiar faces in ITB and talk to them for a bit. Feels like a long time that I haven’t stepped on ITB premises, but it’s only been a month or so.
My friends and I had our lunch at The Mall, because we figured that the new mall in Kiulap might be crowded because it’s bonus time and the new mall’s just opened and whatnot. It was good to get a parking space that’s not at the basement. I saw a few other familiar faces, probably more than seven of those faces, and a friend of mine jokingly complained, “Banyak jua kawannya ani eh,” which I can’t be bothered to translate at the moment.
It never occured to me as having many friends. Haha.
OH! And! Silly me, I had forgotten that today was hari Ashura, not tomorrow. *bangs head on wall* Selamat hari Ashura, everyone. Be good.
Before I go.. You know, the local blogging arena has been infected by these.. I have been tagged by Di. Read the rest of this entry »
I am terribly noisy when I drive. The noise you make when you’re cranky. Yes, somehow, I’m always cranky when I’m on the road. Well, nothing like road rage or anything, but good ‘ol crankiness in the morning when you mutter things that make half sense.
So yea, I’m noisy. Every time someone drives slow on the right lane of the highway, I go, “Okay, there was a reason the left lane was invented!!” Or even when I give way to people crossing the road, I will say to no one in particular, “By today please!!”
And I’m not even in a rush.
One of my pet peeves on the road is when I’m going straight, and then someone takes a chance when getting out from a nearby junction.. and then slow down. I will yell in the car, “MMMBAH. Kalau kan lambat kenapatah disampatiii???” (Roughly translated to, “Ooookay. If you wanted to drive slow, why’d you chance it???”![]()
Yes, I do it even when there is people in the car. I do it even when I’m engaged in a conversation. My attention would divert for a bit to mutter some nonsense about a slow driver, and then get back to the conversation.
My cousin, Liz, once raised her voice at me and said, “Eh, udah tah bah. Inda ia kedangaran bah tu! Ngalih saja ku mendangar.” (”You might as well stop. They can’t hear you! I’m getting tired of listening to you.”![]()
Hahaha. I found it funny. That was actually the time when I realized I talk when I drive.
Trivia: I once read that Michelle Branch talks to herself when she drives too.
How would you stand abuse in a relationship? All sorts of abuse.. I never knew anyone who’s in an abusive relationship before, but recently, one has come to light. To know the sordid details about it, it hurts. Knowing that a woman is in pain because of her boyfriend’s words and not being able to let go.. is painful to leave it alone.
In the past, I’ve never been fully aware of how abuse affects you. You might not be in one, but your friends and family might be. And knowing this fact, doesn’t it make you want to hit the guy in the head? I wish there was something that can be done. Are there any help groups in Brunei?
I don’t know whose blog I was reading, but I remembered it had a birthday greeting to one of my closest friend’s sister, Wani, and it suggested to watch Craig Ferguson’s videos on YouTube. There were three of Ferguson’s videos on the post itself.. (If it’s your blog, do comment, I want to thank you.)
Why? Because I love, love, love The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson! HE IS FUNNY. Hilarious stuff. Although I haven’t seen the whole show properly, but I looooove all the clips that I have seen. When he pairs up with Tim Meadows, even. There was a comment on one of the videos that said, he should control his laughing. I think when he laughs along after telling a joke makes the joke funnier. Like Will & Grace’s live episode, they couldn’t control it, that Jack (JUST JACK! — I had to do that) laughed.
I think it makes you seem more human. Hehe. Here, it’s about time I share a clip of Craig Ferguson’s show.

But anyway, I love watching Will & Grace with the boyfriend. Makes me feel that we have the same sense of humour, because we kind of don’t.
Okay, so today’s show didn’t end well, but humour me. Here are the songs that I ended up not playing because there wasn’t any time left.
I so wanted to play Michael Jackson, but apparently, I haven’t got it in any of my CDs yet. I wonder how that happened. I remembered listening to it in the car! Ish. But the rest, I played. And I remembered that Livin’ On A Prayer was missing too. Okay, fine, that one.. I thought it’d be in the RCS (studio database), but it wasn’t, so I played something that was just as good by Bon Jovi, Have A Nice Day.
The show was a wee bit sloppy, I have to admit. Bu I won’t worry, because practice makes perfect. ![]()
All right, leaving now, hope you have a great weekend!
Of all days to have a bad day at work, it has to be today. The day when I was going to play all of your songs. Today.
The show started off well, but I felt kusut after that.
Whatever. Back to work.
Oh wow, thanks so much for the response in the previous post. Ka Ety’s got a lot of favourites, haha. I’ll try to play your songs, and if you have the time, do give it a listen this Friday morning, January 26th, at 6-9AM on Pilihan Network. (To listen online, type mms://202.160.15.86/pilihan onto your browser.) Due to the number of songs I got from you guys, I’ll see if I can fit everything into one show, yea? ![]()
Before I give you the playlist, I’d like to reply to a few comments..
After many filters and reconsiderations, in no particular order, here’s the playlist (and comment replies!) Read the rest of this entry »
Okay, I want to try something new, here. And I need all of my readers’ help. I really mean all of you. It doesn’t matter if it’s your first time here, or you’re just blog-hopping and happened to land here, just spend a little time and comment on this post. Tell me what feel-good songs would you love to hear on the radio, early in the morning.
A few guidelines when you’re listing the songs:
That’s just about it. You can name as many songs as you want. I need all of your help in this. I’m running dry on my playlist for this Friday morning, so please, please, please help me out on this. This isn’t like a dedication segment or anything, I just need help on my playlist. ![]()
