Oops

I was just leaving a comment on someone’s blog.. and I reviewed my Blogger profile, to see if I need to update a few things. Then I saw this:

bloggerprofileuserstats.jpg

I was a Blogger member since 2002?! That’s nearly five years! And I remembered that I had LiveJournal before this, and before everything else, I started everything as a website. I think I started out early (to mid) 2000.. Oh my GOD. I’m old. Haven’t got proper archives because I keep on moving from one place to another, changing the weblog’s name from time to time.

I remembered Reignfire! I bet he’s blogged for ages. Iman, too. She was one of the best writers/bloggers there were then. I heard she blogs still, but on friends-only LJ.

Why did I ever start blogging? The answer to this seems a little fuzzy to me. But I know it had Dhil in it somewhere. At that time, I sort of feel that only a couple of people were in the Brunei blogging scene. I remembered there was also Sha, Naz, Livie.. Who else? Stephanie! Did I miss anyone out?

Then there was Una, Syaz (with her famous PYNK.NET back then ;)).. then everything just start mushrooming like mad!

No one can keep track of everyone else’s blogs these days. But back then, it was definitely fun. And nothing like the popularity contest that it is now, as I can see on some blogs. (Note: some.)

Icing

Was at Izzah’s today to attend Ka Zian’s baking thingamajiggy. Bake ‘n shake, was it, Ka Ety? Heehee. Had major fun, we were joined by Al as well. I have to say, that was some fest we had. Tons of fun making the icing to Ka Zian’s fairy cakes. Imagine. Gothic colours to top the fairy cakes. Dark purple and an attempt to make baby blue to no avail. Ka Zian’s icing colour was okay, she had baby pink.

Hopefully Ka Ety’s uploading the pictures soon so I’ll have a really nicely pictured post.

For now, I’ll say: I need to watch Ugly Betty and the latest episode to the third season of Grey’s Anatomy.

So here’s the picture of the fairy cakes with the ‘gothic’ icing. Hehe. My icing mixture was the blue one. Ka Ety’s was purple. And we all know who had baby pink. Nyeh.

Picture taken from Ka Ety’s, and I edited it. Hee.

Audio embed on WP.com

WordPress.com has finally got its own feature to embed audio, so here I am, trying to post one up.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

[edit] I changed it to Stand Still, Look Pretty by The Wreckers. [/edit]

If you’re not too lazy, read this, then you would know how to embed audio. I’ve been having extra time lately, d’oh, and so I’m reading up on some extra things. Hehe.

Not so excited about embedding videos, because I can just put up a YouTube video. Which reminds me! Ka Ety’s post on his son praying (and adorably falling asleep while sujud) wanted me to post this.

Cute, right? He’s “praying”. Hehe.

1428

I just want to say, selamat menyambut tahun baru Hijriah 1428! (Happy new year to all Muslims!)

May the year bring you fruitful days. (Remember, my Hijriah birthday falls on August 2nd for the year 2007M! Hehe, I kid, I kid.)

For your reading pleasure, or if you have some extra time, do drop by my friend’s blog (who is also, coincidentally, my lecturer’s brother), and read up on these three posts:

  1. The Best Experience of My Life (Part 1)
  2. The Best Experience of My Life (Part 2)
  3. The Best Experience of My Life (Part 3)

When he titles them as “best experience”, it is an understatement. The way he had described the things he had experienced, you can see how humbled he is by all that was going on. Very inspiring.

We built this city on rock and roll

Can’t really feel both my index fingers and thumbs as a result of peeling cloves of garlic and onions. I was peeling them while watching reruns of the Seattle audition of American Idol. Now I know who it was, Jordin Sparks! Got to like her. And also the last guy to audition on the first day, the one who sang Open Arms and Simon Cowell said “It’s a no” straightaway. What was his name?

Ahh. Shameless AI fan. Haha.

Anyway, work was great today, even though there weren’t as many callers or messages. I felt like I was on my own, in my own world. It’s a feeling that not many can experience. Hehe. (Oh, I’m going to create a few nefarious thoughts in some people’s minds now. Thanks Al for teaching me that word, am I using it right? Heehee.)

I haven’t got much to post today, but a mere thought that someone said it was so uncharacteristic of me: how would it look if a girl of my height — 5′3″ — hug a guy so tall?

Uncharacteristic, really? What are my characteristics, I wonder? Enlighten me, dear readers. Both good and bad. Make my comment space more happening!

(Thanks for dropping by, to both my regular readers and new ones. :))

Go away

I definitely think he is just lovely. He’s like Wentworth Miller of Korea. LOL. I like him more than Wentworth, me thinks. His first (and only, I think) sarang ha yo was the sweetest! I love, love, love, LOVE that scene from My Girl.

Anyway, American Idol 6 auditions were nothing less than funny, and I’m already keeping an eye out for potential stars. Seattle’s sixteen year-old Jordin wasn’t bad, was she? And Minnesotta’s Matt made me cry when he was on the phone with his mom. Aww.

Anyway, getting my blood a little boiled here (with something I’m obviously not telling), but keeping it under wraps. Let’s just share a little something else, like.. a chat log.

Former classmate says:
u? trouble talking? :P

Self-proclaimed retro says:
ha. funny.

Self-proclaimed retro says:
look. im rolling on the floor. laughing.

Self-proclaimed retro says:
HA.

Self-proclaimed retro says:
:P

I’m thinking that my sarcasm presents itself whenever I am provoked.

All sorts of bunnies

It’s tonight! I’m excited! Over-rated? Pfft, they should axe Akademi Fantasia first. Over-edited? Don’t mind, we all edit and omit things we don’t like. Over-everything? Who cares? It’s American Idol!

I don’t know why I didn’t quite follow Malaysian or Singaporean Idol, but American Idol appealed to me more. I tried watching them, but American Idol is still the number one “reality” TV show for me. That and Amazing Race. (Which, I must say, I’m definitely looking forward to Amazing Race All-Stars!!)

I am a very excited bunny.

Anyway, speaking of me being a happy bunny in my last post, I was called up for a job interview as an IT trainer/teacher that I didn’t apply for. Actually, I didn’t apply for any job at all and for a woman to call me and tell me about a job interview to attend, I was shocked. And then I was secretly pleased as I watch my mom get all excited about it. My dad, on the other hand, was a little worried, he gave me tips like, get there early, or read these surahs.. Stuff like that.

The interview was this morning. I don’t know how it went, really. I can’t say it went good nor bad. It was.. okay. The interviewer said that it was just a preliminary interview, and I would be called if I’m short-listed. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if I don’t get it. But if I do, then alhamdulillah, it is my rezeki. (On a different note, someone I once knew was working there. Eek.)

[Now. On to my next agenda. ;)]

I had lunch with my two friends whom I’ve grown close to, Sel and Muliadi, as we tried to tie loose ends at school and our previous placement office at the Prime Minister’s Office. We’ve finally got our testimonial from PMO, after a year of waiting. I have to say, it looks real good in my folder. Definitely worth the wait. :)

(Big possibility that I will update again later after AI6 — watch this space!)

Lee Dong Wook

Zawanah lent me the Korean TV series, My Girl and.. I think.. Lee Dong Wook is CUTE!

leedongwook.jpg

First Korean actor I’ve ever had a crush on. *giggles*

(Thanks, Wanah! ;))

It’s called Sunburn

Just a little update: I am a happy bunny. — I don’t know if I’m going to jinx it, or whatever, but if it’s my rezeki, I’m going to be okay and get it. — I’ll tell you what happens after it happens, yeah? :)

New layout. I like it.
