Hold on to your horses

I will have an update soon. InshaAllah, if things (like laziness and exhaustion) don’t get into the way again. Heehee. I will update, OK, Mr. Socialite? ![]()
If you can buy me this and deliver it to the office, then I can update right now. ![]()

I have a long overdue update, but the mother has asked to buy some stuff from the grocery store.
Watch this space.
Edit: Okay, I’m actually feeling sleepy now, so no updates. ![]()
My mom had asked me to roll the tiny spring rolls and let me tell you this, it can get pretty dull. I had Lake House on HBO, but it rained and suddenly I can’t see anything.
Too bad.
I’m just going to put up some songs for you to enjoy.
Ingrid Michaelson’s The Way I Am.
Jon Schmidt’s All of Me. I love listening to this when I’m in the car.
When I feel like cheering myself up, I listen to this. Groove Armada’s Song 4 Mutya, featuring Mutya Buena.
I love singing along to this with my sister in the car. Mr. Sandman by Glenn Miller and Andrews Sisters.
All righty. I’m off to sleep, early morning tomorrow.
P.S.: Internet Explorer users, does my layout look wonky in your browser? Well, I don’t know why you’re using IE in the first place, but here’s a suggestion: change to Mozilla Firefox. Or update your IE version. ![]()

Love is not a mystery, it’s everything.

I am so glad to be home. After a very long week at Liz’s, being a typical Taurean, I am pretty much happy being in my room.
I have a fair bit more post material to put up, and they will be in separate posts, so don’t be alarmed when I suddenly have more than one post up.
Of course, this will be after the Gema’s (RTB newsletter) Pilihan FM “photo shoot” for the coming Aidilfitri celebration.
So, toodles, I’m going to take a shower now, and do watch this space!

HUGS!
August 9th, 2007 Posted 2:53PM
Before I start the post, I would like to convey my deepest condolences to Izzah, Ka Zian and Ka Ety, for their recent loss of their beloved aunt who passed away yesterday. Keep your chins up, she is in a better place, inshaAllah. Al-Fatihah.

I wanted to update yesterday, but my hands were a tad busy since my cousin’s bride is having a berbedak ceremony after my outing with the girls. (Tonight is his turn, by the way.)
Hamizah, Yusrina, Zawanah, and I, had lunch at Fusion, at The Mall in Gadong, and it was quite good. Not a good idea if you’re on a tight budget, but its serving proportion is quite satisfying for such a price. I had the stuffed chicken with mashed potatoes. And the drinks! The glasses they used were large. I had expected a small amount of apple tea, like how they serve drinks in Sanur. Seriously. I don’t know if Sanur had changed their set of drinking glasses, but I hope they have! (Compared to Fusion’s, Sanur’s glasses are of minuscule proportions!)
Then we met up with Amal, Tiq, Ratna, and their guy cousin (whose name I had forgotten) to watch My Wife Is A Gangster 3. That movie was FUN-NEE! It was slapstick, it was sarcastic, it was.. I don’t know, everything that rhymes with stick? I loved it, though I missed some parts because of a toilet break and all, and sometimes the subtitles skip and whatnot.
Go watch it, if you’ve watched everything else at the movies, or you just don’t want to watch them. I mean, for me, I definitely do NOT want to watch Love Is Cinta. Heart was enough to make me cry, and not in a very-tear-jerking-movie way, it’s in a horrid I-am-bored-to-tears way.
Had fun, as always, it kind of feels that the group is back together, as most of the girls are done with their degrees and they’re back for good. Congratulations to the new Biology and Combined Science teacher, Miss Yusrina!
The rest of us is waiting for that big belanja in December! *cough*BONUS*cough* Teehee. And good luck to Miss Saleha for her quest to continue on her studies! You can do it! ![]()
Anyway, I’ll sign off with a big, colossal hug for Miss Izzah, who was missing from all the things happening. Feel better, sweetheart. *HUGS*

Sorry. Some might be annoyed by online/virtual hugs, but for a person like me, who’s been (and still is!) in a long-distance relationship for more than 3-4 years, I depend on virtual hugs. And I like giving them too. I’m not a hugger in real life, so virtual hugs are, [bimbo mode] like, the next best thing. [/bimbo mode] ![]()
Lihat Pada Keupayaan, Bukan Pada Kekurangan.
May 4th, 2007 Posted 12:48AM
It’s time I start focusing on other things now.
Make your way down to this fund-raising event, a good thing to do, on the 13th of May at the Taman Omar Ali Saifuddien, where the Walkathon starts at 7AM, and the carnival starts at 9AM at the finish line, at the Tasek Lama recreational park.
An image would do this post good, wouldn’t it?
Thanks, Maurina, for the heads up.
Still on hiatus

An update on what’s happening to my dear dad. According to this article (which I’m going to paste onto this entry later), he suffered minor injuries. He was merely a passenger in one of the three cars.
He was with his friend, on his way back from Kuala Belait, back to Bandar. Another car, a Toyota Kijang, had a tyre puncture while carrying an overload of A4 paper. It collided with the car that my dad was in, and another car from behind had hit them as well.
My dad’s friend, the driver, had suffered a few fractures. A lot of physical injuries. My dad escaped with nothing. Or so everyone thought. After a hard night in the ward of the Suri Seri Begawan hospital, my dad’s suffering from lower abdominal pains. We all thought it was just the impact of the seatbelt he had on during the accident.
Apparently not. To cut a long story short, he underwent operation for two hours at 10 this morning. It’s so hard to see your own father, who rarely gets sick and gets admitted into a hospital, without crying. He went into the O.R. (Grey’s Anatomy is educational after all. ;P), with fear in his eyes.
The surgeons reported to my mom that he had two tears in his small intestine and it wasn’t so damaged that the doctor didn’t have to cut off a part of it. He just had to apply a few stitches, and he was good to go.
He’s now in the Intensive Care Unit, and the last time I saw him, which was barely an hour ago, he was talking about the Manchester United match against Chelsea. I promised him I’ll watch it for him. Anyone have any idea when that match is?
By the way, thank you for your well-wishes. Keep him in your prayers for me, thank you.
Oh, here’s the article.
Three-vehicle collision at Seria bypass
By Liza Mohd
Seria Fire and Rescue personnel at the scene of the accident. An Indonesian driver lost control of his van along the Seria bypass yesterday morning and caused a three-car collision, which involved two local men and a female driver. The driver was heading to Kuala Belait from Bandar Seri Begawan when he lost control of his vehicle, due to a tyre puncture, and collided with a vehicle from the opposite lane, which led to another rear-end collision with a third vehicle on the same lane.
A local Chinese driver, whose car was run over, suffered head and chest injuries as well as a broken back. He is currently receiving treatment at Suri Seri Begawan Hospital.
Meanwhile, the other two drivers and a passenger, who suffered minor injuries, were also treated at Suri Seri Begawan Hospital.
Seria Fire and Rescue personnel were deployed at the scene, led by Commander Pengiran Rosli bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
On hiatus

I’m on a small hiatus. My dad’s involved in an accident in Kuala Belait, that’s in an entire different district from where I live. Approximately an hour away? Yea.
He’s fine albeit a little traumatized. I’m fine too. Just in case.
Keep the comments coming, I’m looking forward to replying to them. Just not now.
