Things to ponder on

Fact: Tomorrow is payday. I’m already thinking of splurging on a spanking new Nintendo DS Lite and Guitar Hero: On Tour. The latter costs B$105 here in Brunei. I should be spending a good B$400 alone. And that would not leave me much for the rest of July, what with bills to pay. Ugh, just thinking about it makes me want to hurl. Or maybe that’s just the lunch talking.

Hm.

So. A lot has happened since the last update. Watched movies at the cinema and on DVDs, bought things online, got amused, fell in love, working until hours on end, formatted my office laptop, felt euphoric, missed a few people, etc.. May I just add: I absolutely LOVED Kung Fu Panda, found The Happening really boring, liked how I understood Inside Man. There’s just something about getting movies, y’know? Like you found light at the end of the tunnel. Hahaha. Sad.

Looking to what’s going to happen, instead of the past, I’m going to have a packed weekend, but I’m looking forward to it.

Is it already towards the end of June? Gasp. We’re past mid-2008! Neutral

*JUMPS*

IT’S HERE!! I’M EXCITED!!

Guess The Google

Thanks to her, and her post, I am now addicted to this.

Guess The Google: highly addictive.

I’ve only managed to score 382 388. Boo!

Birthday schmirthday

It’s already the end of April. Tomorrow’s going to be one of my good friends’ birthday, Hamizah. (I know you’re reading, so before I forget — like I did Amal’s [SORRY!! Frown ] — HAPPY 23RD BIRTHDAY, OLD PAL! Grin )

That said, my birthday is coming soon. Next Friday. It’s scaring me. Especially if I’m left with my own thoughts.. I didn’t realize the time flew by just like that, and I’m going to be 23 soon. It’s not turning 23 that scares me (not too bothered with age), but it’s.. I don’t know. It’s scary how the year went by so fast. And I worked for three different employers in the span of six months.

I guess having to lose someone less than two weeks after you turn 22 makes you feel like the year didn’t happen.

Have you watched the movie, The Number 23? Jim Carrey starred in it. It’s quite good. Anyway. I have a story. I like to call it The Number 22 (how original.) OK, I’m kidding. It’s just something that I noticed a few months after my dad passed away.

Last year, when my dad passed, I turned 22. On the brink of his passing, he was at the emergency, initially in room 22. He passed away the same day, which was 22nd May. Spooky. OK, not really. Just felt like sharing anyway. Razz

On a serious note. My birthday is next week. Friday. May 9th. Mark it on your calendars. I’ll be expecting presents that day. Online shopping vouchers is a plus, since I’m always browsing online, gatal kan membali and go over my credit card limit. OK, no, I’m kidding. You can just bring me out to a movie and dinner. I’ll be happy.

Haha. I change my mind. I might want a peace of mind. Just chill. With myself. Eek. I might rent a bouncer. Or a slide! I don’t know. I’m feeling like a ten-year-old when I think of birthdays.

I’m on a very random roll, aren’t I? More tomorrow. (Or the next day.)

P.S.: American Idol 7’s top 5 performances were a bit boring.

Ku Ingin Kamu by Romance

I’ve found it! I’ve been looking for the band who’s been singing this song since ages! I didn’t even know what the song was called! Hehe.

Anyway! This one’s going out to my boyfriend. Who’s currently sick, poor thing. Sayang, this one’s for you. Smile

Selama Tuhan masih mengizinkan, ku ingin selalu menjagamu..~

Google

I think one of the things that I want to do in life is work for Google. If that isn’t possible, then paying a visit would be nice.

A colleague and I was fooling around about wanting to work for Google, and how great it will be, she said, “I would be grateful enough if all I did was photocopy documents all day.”

LOL.

Being at home is boring. I’m definitely going back to work tomorrow.

Big zero

It’s official: I have nothing to write about.

On hiatus until I can find something interesting to pass to my fingertips and onto the keyboard.

Because I’m nice

I changed my layout because I don’t want my readers to be blind. And the layout looks incredibly wonky in Internet Explorer — not that that surprises me, and she said the sidebar overlaps the main content column. Whoops. Hee.

I’d like to play around with it, but I have got things to do.

I need help, by the way. I’m taking 10 of my cousins out for a movie tomorrow night, and I need to decide which movie. So you have to help. Horton Hears A Who, or The Spiderwick Chronicles?

I’m leaning more towards the former, but I am a sucker towards fantasy movies. (Or whatever you call them.)

Leave comments, yes? Thanks in advance! Smile

Look! An update!

It’s been quite a week. Trying to settle in the new work environment. It’s not too bad. Have yet to make friends who are willing to laugh with me at every other minute. LOL.

Weirdly enough, though. I keep on seeing my former colleagues from The Company every time I go out to lunch. I know, we work in the same building, but I just didn’t expect seeing the same people! Not that I mind, of course. I did say I was going to miss them. Wink

Speaking of work.. I really have a bad memory. I don’t know how many times I’ve said that, but I do! There have been a big number of times where I forgot where I parked my car. Where I work, see, there are four floors where you can park your car. And it’s colossal, OK? I usually park at the top-most floor, and only when I’m really running late that I settle for the second-top. There were times when I climbed down the stairs and realized I had parked at the top-most floor, and vice versa.

I’m sure I looked downright ridiculous just scratching my tudong-ed head, trying to remember where my car is parked, and hoping that I’ve just forgotten and it hasn’t been stolen. ROFL.

If you happen to work at the Ministry of Finance building and you see a young woman searching for her car, that will be me. Don’t forget to say hi!

(I missed American Idol tonight because it was raining and Astro services weren’t available. Boo!)

YouTube blocked?

I think it’s confirmed that YouTube has been blocked in the country — I’m not sure banned, I wouldn’t use that word yet — as I can access the website using, ahem, another way.

It did say “We are currently performing site maintenance. Be cool - we’ll be back 100% in a bit,” but I don’t think it affects access to the website.

It still can’t play the videos, however.

So, Internet-savvy people. Any ideas?

(I read a post by Miss M, otherwise, I would have no idea at all.)
