Je pretend que tout va bien

All together now

Via I Can Has Cheezburger.

Awwww.

So sweet.

Macam boyfriendku. Heehee.

Anyhow. I’ve been posting other things on my blog these days. It’s either I have been too lazy to blog about my usual nonsense, or I’m too busy watching DVDs in my room. Aiseh. I can finally be one of the priviledged people who have a TV in their rooms. This sounds sad, but let me let you know, that all my life, I wasn’t allowed to have a TV of any sort in my room. It’s OK for me to have a laptop that plays DVDs and surf the Internet, but not a television.

My mom always thought that if I always had a TV in my room, I wouldn’t go down for meals. Seriously, though, with my mom’s ability to get you downstairs no matter what, it wouldn’t have been a problem. I guess she just insists that we stick to the plan. Until recently.

It’s great. I used to turn on the radio when the room gets really quiet. Now, I just either put Astro on or pop in a Project Runway DVD. And now, all I need is a good sofa to watch my TV. Izzah thinks I need a Wii, but that will have to come some other time. I need my sofa!

What I’m also loving about the new TV is that I get to watch movies and Will & Grace with the boyfriend. Who says you can’t rock a long-distance relationship? LOL.

Anyway, I’ve been having Italian for sungkai three times alone this week. I had a folded pizza at Fratini’s on Wednesday with Mumtaz and boyfriend, Zainul, who had treated me to a good meal and a great laugh. Then I went to Capers on Friday with my CIS20 friends. Just yesterday, I went to Villa Mauri with Izzah. I think, by far, Villa Mauri served the best food and had the best servers. It was my first time there, and I am very, very impressed.

I just wasn’t pleased with the loud lady girl (she does not merit the word lady) on the next table. She doesn’t even get the hint we had given her. Maybe Izzah and I weren’t loud enough. We gather that they were a table of bloggers. She was that loud, OK? We couldn’t help but overhear. Nyeh.

I’m going to go back to my dose of Project Runway now. More updates soon.

Trailer: Confessions of A Shopaholic

Out in February 2009. Although some aspects of the movie, like the characters, don’t stay true to the movie, I cannot wait to watch this one!

To Selina

To one of my friends from ITB, Selina, who has been there with me for the majority of my final year, whose birthday is today, and who is leaving for UK for further studies in 2 days’ time: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Grin Have a blast, and good luck in the UK. We’ll be waiting for you here for another bowling session (or two.) Thank you for being such a great friend. You’re probably one of the few people who understood what I went through with my loss last year, so here’s to you on your birthday!

(In case you’ve forgotten, the picture above was taken during a sungkai get-together with the rest of CIS20 last year. Smile )

Great Tuesday

Oh, wow.

I had fun last night with five of the Girly Bloggers. While one headed home earlier, the rest of us went on a vocally-intense plan. For me, especially. Nearly lost something very precious to me, hahaha.

Pictures are on Facebook (none taken by me).

Thanks for the fun night, girls! And to Rosie, you missed out! Hee.

How very curious..

The strangest thing has happened. The boyfriend and I were talking about the preview of the upcoming Monk season finale (unsure of which season), and it was primarily because of Monk’s ‘death’. (I ended up Googling it because both of us couldn’t be bothered to watch it at such an hour.)

I was checking out for a video, actually, but it came up with different Monk season finales. One of them gave a link to a Yahoo! video, and I was just looking around to see if it was the right one.

At home, I am automatically logged into my Yahoo! account, which I rarely use since GMail existed, so it was natural to be greeted with “Hi (insert Yahoo! username here.)” Here’s the strange bit: In the comments section it says, “You will be seen as (insert the boyfriend’s name here.)” Yes, my boyfriend’s name was where my name should have been!

That is just really, really strange, don’t you think? I had it print-screened and sent it over to him, and both of us couldn’t believe our eyes. He thinks it’s somewhat cool. It’s actually freaking me out a bit.

Is someone playing a prank on me? Frown

Google Chrome

Downloaded and installed Google Chrome on my personal laptop, and I think it’s quite nifty. Faster than what I’m used to, but Firefox still has that ‘Open All In Tabs’ thing that I really like. Opens my bookmarks easily. Hee. Although, I like the ‘Open Link In Incognito Window’ feature. Hides the proxy, I gather? Please do correct me if I’m wrong.

MY7THLIFE.NET’s layout works fine with Chrome too, so yeay. Go ahead, download it and give it a try. I think it should be better than Internet Explorer. Ha.

Update: One of my favourite shirts is ruined. It was the one I wore to the Sunday Splash, and everyone who knows me knows how hard it is for me to find a white t-shirt that fits me great. Bleh.

Now and then

I was just doing a little cleaning up in my room (which, in its current status, is all over the place), and I stumbled upon a few pictures. One caught my eye. It was taken waaaayyy back when. I really think it was taken when I was still in STPRI, so that’s circa 1997-2001. At least 7 years ago, yes?

I didn’t think I had changed much, but I realized that I have now gained a significant amount of weight that I need to lose.

Here was how I had looked back then:

I’m the one with the purple top on. It was raining, judging from the umbrellas and the wet top. This was taken while taking out my sister to Jerudong Park Playground while it was in its glory days. If only I remember the year this was taken. Yes, I was looking up, searching for goodness knows what, and that’s my sister in yellow, in top notch form for boxing. HAHA.

And this is me now (just this Sunday), trying to hide bulging tummy, the woe of every woman no matter how large (big-boned?) or small (petite!);

Gambar telah dicuri dari sumber yang tidak diketahui. Hahahaha. Razz

OK, I’m not entirely sure if you can spot much of a difference, but if you knew me since my STPRI (or primary school) days, then you will notice!

I just noticed how smaller I looked, in beige-coloured pants nonetheless!

I want to go back to my old weight and work from there! Frown But it’s OK. I can do this. I can get my weight to what is medically coined as ‘normal’ so that doctors (and mom) will stop bugging me. Hmph.

Anyway. I found something great to share from this blog post! (And how convenient, I found it just after I was complaining about how much I weighed!)

Hidup ini adalah untuk bersyukur. Bersyukur;

I think that’s a great one, isn’t it? Smile
